Erin Porterfield serves as Executive Director, Heartland Workforce Solutions. Erin is responsible to execute the mission and vision of HWS including the administration, management, planning, evaluation, policy development, personnel and public relations.
Prior to joining the HWS team, Erin was the Executive Director of Metro Area Continuum of Care for the Homeless (MACCH), a collective impact organization to end homelessness. Additional experience includes leadership with Nebraska AIDS Project, Health and Human Services - Child Protection Services/Family Preservation Unit, and adjunct faculty at UNO Social of Social Work.
Her personal mission is to eliminate barriers and provide opportunities for people to reach their full potential. She is the proud mom of two, Beatles crazy boys, ages 8 and 11.
Keith Station currently serves as Director of Business Relations at Heartland Workforce Solutions(HWS). His primary focus is to lead the strategic business engagement efforts for the local workforce investment board that serves Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington Counties.
Prior to joining HWS, he was an Executive Director within YMCA of Greater Omaha Association. Previously, he was Assistant Director for the Omaha Sports Commission, and has experience engaging business through economic development and destination marketing with the Irving Texas Convention and Visitors Bureau, Central Florida Sports Commission and NBA Indiana Pacers. Keith holds a Master’s Degree from Indiana University, and B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.

Alejandra has a background in healthcare management and working in non-profit organizations, most recently at OneWorld Community Health Centers and UNMC Physicians. She brings to us her experience in working with community agencies to engage partners who collaborate and work together to improve the outcomes in our communities.
Alejandra has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bellevue University. Alejandra is a native of Omaha who brings passion, drive and understanding of partnerships to accomplish big goals.
Her work with HWS will focus on; 1) leadership toward our collective efforts to monitor performance of the local workforce board’s delivery system; 2) technical assistance and training to sub-contractors and collaborating agencies; 3) support of Performance Committee and Youth Council; 4) Create and communicate meaningful reports for HWS.
In her spare time, Alejandra loves to spend time with her family and outdoor activities.
Krystal Rider has spent 11 years in the Human Services field. Her career started as a Family Support Worker working with state wards and their families fighting for reunification. Krystal’s current role allows her to bring innovation to workforce. Krystal helps lead an initiative called Career Readiness to Eliminate Disparities. This initiative helps those in high poverty/unemployment areas certify their skills to achieve gainful employment.
Krystal is also the Project Manager for the Heartland Work Ready Communities initiative. The Heartland Work Ready Communities initiative is one where the supply of National Career Readiness Certificates earned by individuals is matched with a demand for the National Career Readiness Certificate from employers who either recognize or recommend the credential in the Metro Area.
Krystal relocated her family from California and has rooted herself in Omaha, Nebraska. She enjoys watching Steelers football with her husband and three sons. Krystal also enjoys trying her hand at urban gardening.
