Derek has worked with various groups, youth, the homeless, immigrant, and minority communities. This experience has allowed him to learn from many different backgrounds and experiences. This has also allowed him to pull from many different skills he has acquired from working with these groups.
Derek received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and his Master’s of Public Administration degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha.
In his free time he enjoys reading, running, crafting, and playing with his dog.
