Our Veteran representatives at the American Job Center can help you navigate the system and connect you to the programs that best meet your needs. You may quality for assistance under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and be eligible for various programs and services, including:
Priority of Service
- Occupational Skills Training: Enhance your skills to improve job opportunities.
- On-the-Job Training and Apprenticeships: Gain practical experience while earning.
- Paid and Unpaid Work Experience: Participate in internships and job shadowing to build your résumé.
- Supportive Services and Referrals: Receive assistance to overcome employment barriers.
As a Veteran or an eligible spouse, you are entitled to priority of service. This means you will receive precedence over non-veterans for employment, training, and placement services funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. Please identify yourself as a Veteran upon arrival to ensure you receive this priority.
Here’s How it Works:

Immediate Assistance
- Upon identifying yourself as a Veteran or eligible spouse, you will be moved to the front of the line.
- After assessing your needs, you will be directed to the individual who can best assist you.
- You will receive priority for enrollment in qualified job training programs, including workforce preparation, development, or delivery programs funded in whole or in part by the U.S. Department of Labor.
