More than Just an American Job Center, HWS is a central access point where job seekers and employers can connect to a sprawling local network of helpful organizations.

Heartland Workforce Solutions operates the American Job Center for the Greater Omaha area. Through partnerships with workforce programs, education providers, businesses, and community organizations, we bring multiple services together under one system.

Our locations bring together local partners who provide employment services, skill development, and supportive resources to strengthen the local workforce.

Assistive Technology
Our Resource Rooms have the following aids and accommodations available:
- Magnifier that increases the size of the information on the screen
- A narrator which will read the information to the user
- On screen keyboard which allows the mouse to be used to type
- A high contrast option for those with low vision issues
- Sticky keys enabling the user to enter key combinations by pressing keys in sequence rather than simultaneously
- Zoom text
- Screen Reader
- Headphones
- LyriQ assistive reader (Ames location only)
Language Access
Interpreter services are available to access all our services. Bilingual (Spanish and English) staff are available as well.
