HWS Illumin8 Series💡

Join us the 4th Wednesday of each month from 11AM to 12PM (CT) for networking and learning event hosted by Heartland Workforce Solutions in collaboration with Metropolitan Community College.
Each month we will feature business-focused topics or career stories from industry leaders. These events will be held both in-person and virtually. The location of the in-person component will rotate from month to month. Windmills Disability Awareness Training

Learn about Nebraska VR (Vocational Rehabilitation) as they provide a Windmills Disability Awareness Training.  This training provides businesses with the skills and tools to foster an inclusive workplace where every employee can have the opportunity to succeed.

Disability Fact or Fiction – Review knowledge and become more comfortable and effective with workplace interactions with people with disabilities.

  • To teach participants to anticipate situations that might occur in the workplace with people with disabilities
  • To make participants aware of respectful etiquette and language for creating a comfortable work environment for al    employees
  • To familiarize participants with some of the basics of disability employment law
